The Department of English at the University of Y is accepting applications for possible full-time lecturer positions in its Composition Program for the academic year 2012-13. The normal teaching load is four courses per semester and may include tutoring at the University’s Writing Center. Classes are offered in such areas as basic writing, business writing or science and technical writing in addition to regular Freshman Composition Courses. Appointments are for one year and may be renewable, subject to performance, writing program needs, and available funding. Salary and benefits are competitive. Candidates must have college-level teaching experience, and at least Bachelor degree in English or a relevant field.
